The CREST-Jane Goodall Science Symposium

is a 2- day annual event celebrating K-12 science inquiry and achievement in the West Linn-Wilsonville School District. This includes a regional science expo affiliated with the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which allows students in grades 9-12 the chance to pursue an independent scientific inquiry into virtually any subject that interests them most.

This year's CREST-Jane Goodall Science Symposium was held on Thursday and Friday, March 11-12, 2010. Noted historian and documentary filmmaker Sven Huseby was the District's distinguished guest for the day, and delivered the Symposium's keynote address. Mr. Huseby spoke about his award-winning film A Sea Change: Imagine a world without fish, which he narrated and co-produced with director Barbara Ettinger. The film has received international attention,inspiring thoughtful discussion about the science of climate change and the role of young people in this changing world.
